Napa County is killing small businesses, and in so doing, galvanizing an industry monopoly in large, corporate businesses. Napa Valley is increasingly corporatized and only accessible to the very wealthy.
Napa County is forcing small wineries (and others) to apply for entitlements they already have.
Inequitable, arbitrary, and malicious regulation is making it impossible for small wineries to do business or remain economically viable.
The County’s unconstitutional efforts to eviscerate longstanding property rights will crush these small businesses and erode the priceless character and history they contribute.
These actions are forcing small wineries to go out of business or to sell.
If we lose the small wineries, we lose jobs, we lose families, we lose the shepherds of our community, and the heart and soul of Napa Valley.
